So, i had read in an article that a nearby theme park, camelot, had been shut down for a while still had most of its attractions in place, left to rot away.
I thought that this would make an absolutely sick project to work on so i drove down with a couple of people to have a look!

Unfortunately, when we arrived we saw that the gates were boarded up
boarded up entrance.
and there was no way of entry from the front, so i could only get a couple of images which i was gutted about!
I have recently been informed that you can easily get in through the back way, so another trip will be in need ASAP.
Here are some images i managed to snap, i used my 50mm 1.8 lens for these as the wide open aperture would create a nice depth of field and i could use a super quick shutter speed.
I edited the clarity and saturation in lightroom to create a kind of eerie-fantasy feel to the photo's.

I was told about the website 28 Days later. Which is a forum where people have come across lots of different cool abandoned places. I did some snooping and found a couple of places that i definitely have to pay a visit. The first one on my list is Cherry tree hospital Which is an asylum in stockport, this could be the start of a very cool project...
