Scratch Film Production

In the media pathway, we were asked to produce a film. we had 5 seconds of the 16mm filmstrip allocated each student to do whatever they pleased (scratch, colour, etc). We had looked at Len lye's a colour box (1935). This film consisted of animated shapes dancing to Cuban music. This was one of the first animations to be painted directly onto the film.

So today we got on with our filmstrips, influenced by len lye, we all had 5 seconds worth of frames to colour, scratch and draw on to create our film.
